Een geneesmiddelenmolecule kan beschikbaar zijn als zout, ester of ander derivaat. Wanneer de vermelde sterkte van het geneesmiddel slaat op de volledige molecule (bv. zout of ester), volgt dit bijgevoegde deel na een komma, bv. \u201cmorfine, sulfaat\u201d. Wanneer de vermelde sterkte van het geneesmiddel berekend is op de actieve component van de molecule alleen, wordt in het Repertorium het bijgevoegde deel tussen haakjes getoond, bv. \u201cnaloxon (hydrochloride)\u201d.
